The Cows are coming

February 6th, 2012 · Chris · No Comments

Have you herd? The Cow Parade is coming to Guernsey. Fresh from last year’s udderly successful Donkey Parade, this year’s fundraising extravaganza for the Guernsey Adult Literacy Project (GALP) will see around 50 decorated cows on proud display all over the island. Things are just getting started — moo ore news to follow, once the website is ready. Meanwhile, don’t forget to like our Facebook page and keep up with the latest news.

The GCP logo, by the way, was created by the talented Catherine Plevin, from Guernsey’s College of FE. We reckon she’s done a fabmoolas job!

Trees in Guernsey Never Looked So Good

September 9th, 2011 · Chris · No Comments

The Men of the Trees in Guernsey has just launched its new identity and website, both created by Betley Whitehorne.
The charitable Society was founded in 1935 to promote the overall importance of trees and conservation, not just to Guernsey but for the benefit of the entire planet. Trees.gg provides a useful platform for the local group to present new initiatives and inspire support from a growing number of younger conservationists who are keen to act & contribute.

How to be an Awards’ winner

September 5th, 2011 · Chris · No Comments

This year’s Awards for Achievement in Guernsey has started its search for the Island’s top performing companies. Anyone interested in hearing how the process works, along with experiences learned from previous winners, are invited to participate in a Question & Answer session on 14 September, which will hopefully inspire a new set of ambitious applicants.

Anyone interested can call the event organisers, GEC, on tel. 01481 728686.

We Love Their Branding As Much As They Do

September 1st, 2011 · Jessica · No Comments

The Battle of Flowers is a traditional event that occurs every summer in Guernsey, closing the summer show season. It’s a great way for individuals to show off their creativity and when we were informed that Deborah Cooper from Isabelle Vets and her gorgeous dog Jacob, were entering a branded float, we couldn’t help but show an interest.

Taking branding to the next level, Jacob led the decorated cart, which was transformed into an Isabelle Vets branded animal ambulance, around the arena. Both Deborah and Jacob dressed for the occasion, Deborah wearing theatre scrubs and Jacob wearing a first aid pack on his back.

Jersey’s Thriving Market Shows What Guernsey Misses

August 3rd, 2011 · Chris · No Comments

It’s no more than a distant memory for most, and totally unknown for some, but strolling around Jersey’s market recently recalled the glory days of Guernsey’s own market. And whilst the delights of HMV or New Look provide today’s consumer with the latest musical or fashion tastes, they somehow seem oddly temporary and insignificant against the permanency of a living, breathing market.
