We’ve put together a fun little animation for Guernsey and Jersey Gas to promote their latest heating offers.
Created in Flash it utilises a range of the animation tools available such as skeletal animation and each of the bees, the bird, frog etc have separate timelines meaning the motion is constantly evolving so each time it loops they will be in different places.
This year we took the opportunity to give the Victor Hugo Music Festival a refresh. The site has been totally rebuilt in HTML 5 and this gave us the chance to make it wider and easier to use more visually appealing.
The fabulously named ‘The Guernsey Society of the Men of the Trees’ has recently launched a scheme to help recognise the importance of trees, with help from Betley Whitehorne. Treasured Trees is an initiative that includes a visit to Guernsey by Jon Stokes, Director of The Tree Council (30 June, Candie Gardens Museum,
St Peter Port) as well as a structured programme of educational school visits. Betley Whitehorne crafted a distinctive new logo for Men of the Trees, as well as an awareness poster campaign for Treasured Trees.
With the launch of The Test Market website we have deployed our first website written in HTML5 — the new standard for creating dynamic, accessible websites and ‘webapps’. HTML is the structure of web pages and version five offers a lot of new features such as embedding video and audio without Flash, new form controls, the ability to create images and graphics with the web browser and build rich applications for computers and mobile devices. Combined with CSS3 (used for styling websites) it is going to revolutionise the web. The Test Market website takes advantage of of this emerging technology to offer a richer experience for both users and content creators.
We were delighted to hear that Close had won two awards (the 2009 PLC Award & the 2010 Professional Advisor Award) for the spectacular performance of their Special Situations Fund. We were even more delighted to be asked by Close to develop an online creative campaign celebrating the fact that they had won. We recommended a scientific approach that visually helped to re-enforce the robust performance of the fund. The sliding scale drawing the eye to the exceptional performance of the Fund in comparison to competitors.

Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day was, inescapably, this weekend, and at the front of the queue for spreading a little love around were OSA Recruitment.
On Friday afternoon, OSA hand-delivered 50 single red roses to their various HR managers and clients. To lift the gift out of the ordinary, we provided the red and white heart motif ribbon, printed with their logo and tied around the stem of each rose, to ensure that love really was in the air for everyone this Valentine’s Day!
OSA recruitment were very open to the idea of a new campaign when the strapline “Find something you love to do’ was suggested. The campaign was launched with a number of understated adverts, such as the full page Guernsey Press advert featured below. The second phase of adverts, introducing the recruitment position titles OSA have to offer, followed shortly after.
