We’re pleased to have been able to assist a number of local charities recently as part of our ongoing ‘BW in the Community’ programme.
The Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, with whom BW already has a long standing relationship, has just circulated a Newsletter outlining events since the formation of the GAA last year. We were delighted to design it.

What all charities need more than almost anything, and that’s as true in Guernsey as it is anywhere else in the world, is volunteers. So what better than a website dedicated entirely to volunteer support? Volunteer.gg is a relaunched initiative from the original volunt-here.org, created by the late Gary Solway, where browsers will be able to view the cream of Guernsey’s charities, and their events, as well as, hopefully, deciding to help one or two in whatever way is most appropriate. Betley Whitehorne designed the identity and is working on the main website – the holding page reflects this ‘helping hands’ initiative perfectly!

The Guernsey Community Foundation celebrates charitable giving within the Bailiwick. This week will witness the inaugural Community Awards, where local charities, individuals or organisations in the Island are recognised & applauded for raising money or initiating worthwhile causes. BW has worked closely with the Foundation on its identity, websites and Awards’ material. Good luck to all those nominated and well done to the winners.
Finally, Guernsey’s Donkey Parade looks like it will now spread its magic for a little longer. In fact, throughout 2012 at the very least, in the form of a wall calendar, featuring all 42 donkeys and about 150 photos submitted by the supportive public who have taken the Parade to their hearts and have helped GALP (Guernsey Adult Literature Project) well beyond the wildest dreams of event architect, Trevor Wakefield. Again, all of us at BW got caught up in Donkeymania too and were delighted to design the calendar, which should be on sale from the end of November, visit their blog for updates.
