The sequel to Samsung’s very successful Galaxy S phone has some very interesting user interface ideas that go beyond the basic touch screen idea. They incorporate natural, familiar gestures into the interface. Instead of pinching to zoom websites you place two fingers on the screen and move the phone closer or further away and it zooms according just like holding a bit of paper. Another clever idea is instead of sweeping and dragging to move widgets across homescreens you simply move the phone left or right to pan through them. It’s gives the impression the screen is a window that you move to change your view point. It very innovate but also very natural.
