Betley Whitehorne support Peak2Piste

January 25th, 2011 · Paul · No Comments

Peak2Piste is the name for a group of 5 guys from Guernsey who are about to embark on an exciting adventure to undertake a 3 month ski/snowboard instruction course in the world famous resort of Whistler in Canada. The course starts on the 5th February 2011 and by the time it finishes they are all hoping to have achieved their CASI/CSIA level 2 qualification.

Sam came to Betley Whitehorne in December with his plans and the need for help to make them a reality. Feeling in the Christmas spirit we decided to help. We set up a blog, using a logo designed by Sam, a Facebook page and a Twitter account. We realised the communication potential of Facebook for a project like this and integrated feeds from Twitter and the blog to add interest and encourage returning visitors. The course hasn’t even started yet and already they have well over 300 followers on the page! Facebook will enable them to add galleries of their adventure and the Twitter feed will mean they can quickly update sponsors and followers without interupting their skiing too much!

Good luck with the course everyone!
