Pure Skin Brand Created by Betley Whitehorne

A new beauty skin treatment clinic has been launched in Guernsey, with help from ad agency Betley Whitehorne.

Pure Skin at the Longfrie Surgery offers treatment to clients using an advanced intense pulse light system, aimed at the removal of unwanted skin blemishes, thread veins, acne scarring and undesirable hair.

Betley Whitehorne assisted with its own course of beauty treatment, including name creation, design of corporate identity and the production of all support marketing requirements, including Open Day invitations & press advertising, information leaflets, exterior/interior signage, display stand and website, pureskin.gg.

The last glass eye maker

This 16mm film by Ben Todd and directed by Tomas Leach tells the sad story of the last glass eye maker in England. There is a real craft to the technique that’s been around for 200 years. The eyes are both beautiful and disturbing.

HTML5 gets an identity

HTML5 must be more mainstream than it’s ancestors as it’s got it’s own logo. Individual sub-technologies (not all of which are strictly HTML5) have their own icons too, and you can combine them into fancy little badges for your site. Large type is the current design trend for web savvy designers (thanks downloadable fonts) and the HTML5 logo page certainly doesn’t miss out! Read more

Microsoft Surface 2 makes touch screens look back

The first Microsoft surface was amazing, but version 2 makes it look so last decade! Instead of using a touch screen or cameras, every pixel on the display can see your hands using Pixel Sense. It can even read a bit of paper placed on the display and respond accordingly. All they need to do now is tie this into Kinect for an even more interactive experience. There is a lot of new technology being used here.
