One night. One car. One projection mapping shoot.

Last week witnessed the rather special event of the filming of the latest Toyota projection mapping project. Hiding away in Shoreditch was the new Toyota Auris Hybrid and a production crew provided by the company, SuperGlue. The shoot was one night and the results were impressive.

It’s Friday so why stop with one concept phone when we can have two. Above is a rather sexy Windows Phone concept.

Touchscreen devices  may have completely changed the cell phone interface today, but tomorrow’s mobile devices will go even further, even responding to grip & other forms of user action. It’s not everyday that you see a phone that can “bend and twist” at your command, but future phones will. Mozilla Seabird concept phone

Mozilla, the people behind Firefox, have been brewing a new concept in their labs, this time a mobile phone. The project, called Mozilla Seabird,  primarily looks at the problems of entering content on phones using clever technology such as projected keyboards (yes they are real) and a ‘magic wand’ input device which extends far beyond the minuscule real-estate of the screen.

Adobe demo Plenoptic lenses

Adobe have demoed Plenoptic lenses that allow you to refocus an image after it’s been taken. The process basically works by using a special lens in the camera that is made of loads of tiny sub-lenses allow the camera to capture extra information. Clever software then interprets this allowing the focal length to be changed.
