This experimental animation was created in 1968 by some Russian scientists showing, even at the height of the Cold War, they had some time for fun. Each frame was created on computer out of letters, these were printed and filmed to make the above. It is slightly disturbing when the Kotenok’s (that’s Russian for kitten) head gets very big, but it’s very like the style of Russian children’s animation of the period.
