Yesterday, saw the New Orleans Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Bowl.  However, the real winner appears to be Snickers who were one of many Super Bowl advertisers.

A tv spot within the Super Bowl is highly desirable and highly lucrative for the host broadcaster. With an estimated audience of 150 million the cost of  buying a TV spot can be around the $3m mark. This years’ raft of advertisers included numerous new faces as the traditional American blue chip clients stayed away.

A rare TV spot by Google was also seen but, according to the USA TODAY admeter, which measures the response of focus groups as the game is being played, it was the Snickers ad that can claim to be the winner in the battle of the TV spots.
