Gary enjoys a Coca Cola on his Aurigny flight to Manchester, he knew that it wasn’t good for him but thought he would need all the energy he could get to take on the 10 Peaks challenge, albeit over three days instead of one.

Touch is dead, long live no touch!

This seriously makes touch screens look last decade. Project Natal for the Xbox 360 uses very clever motion detection, and voice recognition to allow interaction. It’s a bit like the Wii but you don’t need hold any controllers, just move any part of your body. For me though, the best bit was the girl being reflected in the water, the player actually gets ‘physically’ placed into the environment, when she moves her hands the water moves and distorts. Stunning stuff with I really, really want to try!

Local businesses watch out…

For some reason it seems that 80%* of Guernsey businesses seem to be stuck using Internet Explorer 6 despite it being named number eight in the worst 25 tech products ever made, being in part responsible for the recent Chinese attacks on Google, being wildly out of date and incompatible with the latest web techonologies and a whole host of other Internet sins. Even the German and French governments are advising people to stop using it.
