Design Partner for Guernsey Photography Festival

Betley Whitehorne are pleased to be design partner for the newly launched Guernsey Photography Festival.

Responsible for the identity, graphics and digital requirements the agency is looking forward to this exciting new cultural festival in May 2010.

The first Guernsey Photography Festival will be held in St Peter Port featuring exhibitions by renowned international photographers Simon Norfolk, Josef Koudelka and Judah Passow.

The festival will also feature community activities, with competitions and exhibitions featuring work by local photographers, both amateur and professional. Read more

Betley Whitehorne have produced a new identity, graphics and web site for start-up child care provider, Verandah Kids. Verandah offers a stimulating, educational and safe environment for children aged 5 – 11 years with qualified and experienced staff. A first for Guernsey, the after school and holiday club provides structured age appropriate activities, supervised homework, arts & crafts, table football, internet, large screen TV and gaming and much more.

I really like this huge Pop-Art type sculpture. Just a shame that it’s situated on the other side of the world as I’d love to see it in the flesh (metal). The sculpture is located in The Farm, a large private art park in New Zealand. The work was created by Neil Dawson and is entitled Horizons. Perhaps, we could have something like this in the island one day…

20 years and one day ago you used to be able to believe what your eyes told you — a picture never lied. Then Photoshop was born and everything changed. It’s come a long way in that time and continues to amaze with new features and ideas keeping it at the top for a long time. It has to be one of the most successful pieces of software ever. staple art close up…35,000 staples! The artwork measures 2.7 x 2.5m and took 75 hours to complete.

I hope he doesn’t have to remove them afterwards!
