Paul Smith, an active member of Guernsey Photographic Club, has been awarded the Bridel Shield for best Colour Print Open Subject at the club’s annual championships. His winning image, Dawn on the Loch, was taken during Paul’s bike ride from Lands End to John O’Groats. The photo was also awarded the Guernsey Photographic Club Trophy for Best Overall Colour Print.

The Annual Championships also include a Monochrome Portrait category where Paul also received an honors for his photo of a Hitchhiker taken on the island of Santiago in Cape Verde.
It’s been a good year for Paul’s photography as this latest recognition follows two previous club competition wins, the Open Monochrome Print competition and the Interclub competition with Prism.
