Art Lebedevs Transparentius road safety

This is very simple, but also rather clever. Using a camera and a screen you can see the road through the lorry ahead. It’s designed by Art Lebedev of sexy Optimus Maximus Keyboard fame Russia, and trust me I’ve experienced Russian driving and they need all the safety devices they can get.

The best bit is the tank — but why didn’t they choose a Russian one?

I have recently become the proud owner of a build-your-own orangutan. I am now of the opinion that my world could have be been built and put together out of individual crafted shapes. I’ve since been unable to avoid, as is often the case, the 3D puzzle like designs, which include furniture design, building structures, toys etc. The flat-pack designs aren’t limited to small scale items. In its most extreme form prefab architecture, such as the Huf house, have proven very popular. These are some of the examples demonstrating the possibilities of flat-pack design.

Guernsey Photographic Club Annual Championships

Paul Smith, an active member of Guernsey Photographic Club, has been awarded the Bridel Shield for best Colour Print Open Subject at the club’s annual championships. His winning image, Dawn on the Loch, was taken during Paul’s bike ride from Lands End to John O’Groats. The photo was also awarded the Guernsey Photographic Club Trophy for Best Overall Colour Print.
