Advertising on a fly!

This really is pushing the limits of where marketers will consider placing adverts. This advertising stunt, which took place at a German book fair, involved attaching tiny banner adverts to common house flies — it certainly created a buzz.

Fly-advertising

I’d like to know how the banners are attached to the poor flies? It’s been suggested that the flies are frozen, the banner is attached, and then the heavily burdened flies are released. It’s not surprising that no one is officially taking ‘credit’ for this promotion.
