I don't want to turn this into a Olympic blog but I found these unusual medal designs for the 2010 Vancover Games.
The dramatic form of the Vancouver 2010 medals is inspired by the ocean waves, drifting snow and mountainous landscape found in the Games region and throughout Canada.

I think the medal is cool but kind of plain! All it has is swirley stuff. Not saying bronze gold or silver medalist or vancover 2010 olypics! Apparently an aboriginal artist designed it which is cool and they are cool don’t get me wrong but to plain.

dude I personally think they are sweet man. Beautiful and very classified and indulgent! Love it and am glad it has Canada written all over it!

Why get an Aboriginal artist to do medals for the Canadian games? Maybe it was an Inuit artist? That would be more fitting.

I heard today that these medals are actually all parts of a larger image that fits together. This came from one of the athletes and I don’t think a picture of this image has been released yet.
