The LG GD910 watch phone

We've had clocks on our mobile phones for ever but now you can have a mobile on your watch. LG are about to release the LG GD910 which is a bargain *cough* at only £500!

Despite it's heavy price this is actually a pretty cool bit of kit with video call functionality a touch screen and hand that tell the time. It doesn't look too bulky either. The idea of having a phone on your wrist is in many ways more appealing than having to carry something around in your pocket, it's small, convenient and harder to steal - although it might feel a little funny when vibrating.

Are watch phones going to be a big thing in the future? The limited screen size may limit their appeal but I think they have a place. If you're off on a night out why carry your fat smart phone around when you can pop you sim card in one one of these babies? Maybe the future will be blue tooth watches that chat to your phone in your pocket? Only time will tell what the future holds for watch phones.

  1. Interactive, animated board games
  2. Credit crunch does not affect sales of jewel-encrusted phone
  3. Augmented Reality is Virtually With Us
  4. I want a new business card…
  5. More Lego!
