London, Edinburgh, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai…and now Guernsey.
The Gate Worldwide has today announced its purchase of a minority equity stake in Guernsey ad agency Betley Whitehorne, for an undisclosed sum.
The Gate, a full service, integrated communications agency specialising in financial services, has a presence in many of the main markets around the globe and has long recognised the importance of the Channel Islands. The new purchase and partnership with Betley Whitehorne will now provide both agencies with the best of both worlds for many of its clients.
CEO of The Gate Worldwide, Philip Gregory, said, ‘We have been looking to establish an offshore presence for many years. Given our pedigree & experience in financial services marketing, it was natural that we should be represented in the Channel Islands, a leading offshore finance centre. Today represents the first step in our plans and we are delighted to formalise our relationship with Betley Whitehorne through this purchase’.
Chris Betley, MD of Betley Whitehorne, continued, ‘We have been working with The Gate for several years now, so this was really a natural ‘next step’ in what we believe will provide many of our clients with added, beneficial services – experience & specialist skills, such as media planning & buying, as well as support in its worldwide locations, which haven’t been accessible at this level to many Channel Islands’ businesses, until now’.
Betley Whitehorne will retain its trading name and structure.
