Curtain Curtails Showers

Artist Elisabeth Buecher has invented a shower curtain that cuts short your shower after four minutes, to save energy and water.  The curtain has inflatable spikes that fill with air after four minutes, nudging the user out of the shower.  'Spiky' the curtain also has a cousin, which inflates to trap you inside the shower as a sweaty punishment for your water waste.

Personally, four minutes seems a tad brief for a decent shower,  and I can think of better times and places to be lectured on environment than by a sanctimonious shower curtain, but fortunately, given the associated liability issues, the curtains are not for sale, but serve to provoke thought on water usage.  The project, entitled, 'My Shower is a Green Warrior', is on display at the Milan Furniture Fair.
