This week has seen the return of a much loved Betley Whitehorne mascot, Mr G. Love. Known to his friends as Gary, the fuschia favourite first made our acquaintance back in Winter of last year when he was discovered by Piet Whitehorne, launched at Ric Le Poidevin, and proceeded to join us on a work do in town.

Since that first meeting, Gary and the Creative department became inseparable. Barely a day went by without the glove turning up in some unexpected and humorous location. Then one morning, Gary wasn’t there anymore. The downstairs phones never stopped ringing with missing person enquiries from upstairs, and many an accusation was thrown around the office.
Some months later, jet setting Ash Veron posted the photographs (shown here) on Facebook. Gary had not been heartlessly binned by an unsuspecting cleaner, but was off sunning himself in South America.

Returned by post yesterday, Gary does not plan to stay long in Guernsey. Ash has instilled in him a passion for travel, that will be indulged later this month when he joins Piet and his family on their trip to Australia. Although the gloves travel itinerary cannot be set in stone this early on, it is suspected that his plans for the Summer months include Russia, Rhodes, Germany and Brighton.
You too can keep up to date with Gary’s travels as they are posted on the Betley Whitehorne blog.
