Helvetica is a feature length documentary about typography, graphic design and visual culture. It investigates the proliferation of one typeface — helvetica.
I don’t think there are enough design documentaries like this about. It is a very fascinating film which deals with the birth of the typeface and its 5o year journey so far.

During my time at university I had the pleasure to meet some great contemporary illustrators. I am pleased to announce that a fantastic selection of these are putting on their very first exhibition. These gents are Tom Ashton-Booth, Ed Boyles, Huw Devine, Patrick Gildersleeves and Ben Summers better known as “Danger! Fun Boys”.
So if you like danger, fun, boys, grammatical inclusion and illustration then go along to the Centerspace Gallery in Bristol between 18th — 24th January 2008. The Gallery will be open from 10.00am — 18.00pm

We had a bit of a wet weekend and everyone seems to moan about the rain but, personally, I enjoy it. I like it even more when it’s combined with cutting edge technology. The Bit.Fall, by German artist Julius Popp, creates images and words out of droplets of water, like organised rain.
