OSA have been a client with us for near on 5 years now and have also presented us with some interesting and inspiring design challenges. About 6 months ago we worked on a new brand for them to apply solely to the temp workers element of their business. This sister brand creation is called The Temp Desk and has been a resounding success. It is a fun and vibrant brand surrounded by fantastically illustrated characters who provide a voice for The Temp Desk. There are many marketing elements that have been created since the inception but this SMART car has been our most favourite project for this brand. Big thanks to Dave Dowding and the team who applied the designs to the car.

Why can’t all children’s bookshops look like this! It’s a great example of how considered, intelligent design works.
Japanese architect Keiichiro Sako’s fairytale world incorporates huge story telling screens and is full of rainbow colours. The Beijing bookshop is more like a children’s play area than a traditional bookshop — a place to inspire children and adults alike.

Eight months ago we were approached by The Grammar School to see if we would be happy to take over the design and production of their yearly magazine The Grammalogue. We were happy to take this forward and today we have received the printed copy. It looks fantastic, all 120 pages of it. It is the biggest edition they have had and it is packed full of all their usual stories and photos but with a much more dynamic, magazine-design feel.

A new exhibition at the greenhouse gallery opens tonight featuring artists’ books.
You may think you know what a book is…
a cover, a bound spine, numbered pages, some have pictures, some have just words, many lead you unto a world imaginary characters and others give you knowledge and understanding.
BUT have you ever considered…
ceramic tiles for pages, a spine made from bandages, a leather strap with fastening buckle as the cover — as a book?
‘Off the Page’ — an exhibition designed to introduce the contemporary, innovative and energetic art form that is the Artist’s book.

Is it just me, or is anyone else finding that Leopard has slowed their machines down? I think that Tortoise might be more apt, or maybe ‘Blind Tortoise with a Bad Leg’ seeing as my machine seems to crash all the time! There are many more positive comments than negative but for me stability and speed are more important than a cover flow facility that only lets you view half of your files!
